What´s the Time Mr Wolf

 Setting

Have the children line up on one side of the playground. You need to have taught the time (o´clock only) previously, so that the children can shout out the time fluently.

Instructions

The next activity is called "What´s the Time Mr. Wolf". One person is goint to act as a wolf (simulate being a wolf by howling) and is going to stand with his back to the other students.

Halfway, across the playground, the rest of you are going to line up and ask the wolf "What´s the time Mr. Wolf?" The wolf then has to shout out a random time, for example two o´clock, and you have to take that many of steps.

This is reapeated again and again and you have to try to get as close to the wolf as possible. When he calls "its dinner time" he turns around and tries to catch the children who are nearest to him.

Goal

Try to get to the wolf and avoid being tagged when the wolf calls "it´s dinner time". The first one to get to the wolf wins.

Teaching tip

It maybe useful to have a cardboard clock, to assist with the students understanding of this activity.
